We are very lucky to have a number of activities available in our school.  These run all year round and happen both during school and outide of school hours.

We have an excellent girls Gaelic football team who have made it to the finals of Sciath na Scoile this year.  Well done girls!!!  The are trained by Ms. Mc Quire and Ms. Lovett after school on Mondays and we also have Ballyphehane Ladies Football Club led by Denise Walsh, come to the school weekly to train the classes from fourth class up to sixth.

There is a very strong music tradition in our school and our students are given the opportunity to avail of violin, cello and flute lessons after school.  Suzuki Violin is taught twice a week to classes from second to sixth during school time by a trained external Violin teacher Áine O’Brien.  Recorder is taught in class by our music teacher Sorcha Walsh.  Sorcha  also leads our school orchestra on a Wednesday after school and our School choir on a Thursday.  The choir have traveled to Dublin and have worked with other choirs from Dublin and the North of Ireland on the Ballymun Lullaby project in conjunction with RTÉ.

Karen Cotter has joined us this year as our drama teacher. Every second year our school puts on a whole musical which is a huge success. In the past we have had outstanding performances such as Honk, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, The Sound of Music and well as a Christmas concerts in December.  The students who preform in these show gain tremendous self confidence and many have gone on to continue their dramatic careers in the Presentation Secondary School and further a field.

Our School Garden

We are very proud of our school garden which is lovingly maintained by our school care taker Declan.  The students plant bulbs and vegetables and we avidly observe the development of the tadpoles in our pond annually.
